About four and half years ago, I began something new in my life as a painter that would alter this journey forever. At the suggestion of a dear friend who understood that I was looking to do something else with my art, something to help empower young women, I followed a path which led me to a foster village on a quiet cul-de-sac in Coconut Creek Florida. And I begin to mentor foster teenage girls through painting. To give girls who never before had an opportunity to be creative, a chance to express themselves while developing camaraderie and having sheer fun. And this has been as rewarding for me as I hope it is for them!
